There are several things you can do to help ensure your installation
is completed in a timely manner:
- Ensure that all area of access are barrier free. This
includes the Point of Demarcation and the area that your
would like your DSL line terminated, including the path
to that area.
- Be present (if needed) at the time of your FOC.
- Be present at the time of your inside wiring installation
Expediting Your Installation
The date you request that your service be active is known
as the Customer Want Date, CWD. A request for a CWD less than
the standard implementation interval is an expedite.
Expedite requests should be directed to your account manager,
who will seek the appropriate approvals from the affected
cyberMIND organizations.
If you are changing or transferring services, such as web
hosting, e-mail etc., be sure that you have all the appropriate
information gathered together to ensure a smooth transition.
Items that are generally needed are:
User names and passwords, IP addresses etc.
Your account manager can assist you in determining all the
information that would be required for service transfers.
It is also recommended that you check the status of your
domain name registration to ensure that all of the contact
records are up to date and include correct information.
Changing your Customer Want Date (CWD)
If you need to change your CWD, contact your account manager.
Bear in mind that the Domain Name registration process is
independent of the port implementation. Since the InterNIC,
not cyberMIND, controls Domain Name
implementation, Domain Name implementation intervals may exceed
the CWD you requested. cyberMIND will still complete the dedicated
portions of the order, but you will not obtain your domain
name until the InterNIC registration is complete.
